About MassHire Franklin Hampshire Workforce Board

MassHire Franklin Hampshire Workforce Board Team

Appointed by the Mayors of the City of Northampton and the City of Greenfield, the MassHire Franklin Hampshire Workforce Board (MassHire FHWB) is the region’s policy-making authority in developing workforce skills. In partnership with government, business, labor, education and community-based organizations, the MassHire FHWB coordinates and oversees the region’s publicly funded workforce training and placement programs, including the MassHire Franklin Hampshire Career Center (MassHire FHCC) and the School-to-Career/Connecting Activities program.

The MassHire FHWB also serves as a clearinghouse for labor market information and hiring/training incentives. The Board’s goal is to contribute to the economic health and growth of the region by creating an effective workforce development system that is responsive to job seekers and employers alike.

We welcome area employers to participate and make a difference in their local community. There are a few ways to get involved:

  • Become a member of the Board and network with other industries to get a broader view of labor market issues and challenges
  • Participate in committee meetings and in training partnerships across the region
  • Contact our Executive Director and Executive Assistant to offer feedback on barriers and issues in your industry
